{"id":5001,"date":"2025-02-13T10:40:46","date_gmt":"2025-02-13T10:40:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.bekonomike.com\/business\/loans\/dritarja-per-investime-te-diaspores\/"},"modified":"2025-05-05T13:56:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T13:56:22","slug":"diaspora-investment-window","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/test.bekonomike.com\/en\/business\/loans\/diaspora-investment-window\/","title":{"rendered":"Diaspora Investment Window"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DIASPORA INVESTMENT WINDOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Diaspora Investment Window aims to support investments in private enterprises established by our compatriots living and working abroad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE DIASPORA INVESTMENT WINDOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PARTNER INTERMEDIARIES \/ BANKS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The financial institutions registered with the KCGF that have signed the guarantee agreement for the Diaspora Investment Window are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Banka Ekonomike Sh.A.<\/li>\n<li>National Commercial Bank (BKT Kosovo)<\/li>\n<li>Bank for Business Sh.A.<\/li>\n<li>NLB Bank Sh.A.<\/li>\n<li>ProCredit Bank Kosovo J.S.C.<\/li>\n<li>Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo J.S.C.<\/li>\n<li>TEB Bank Sh.A.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT IS CONSIDERED A DIASPORA INVESTMENT AND WHAT ARE THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The diaspora investor must clearly express the intention to invest in Kosovo by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting a new business, or<\/li>\n<li>Supporting an existing business in Kosovo founded by the diaspora investor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Businesses with more than 36 months of operation are not eligible for this window.<\/p>\n<p>Ownership structure of newly created businesses by diaspora investors must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully owned by the diaspora investor,<\/li>\n<li>In partnership with Kosovo residents (e.g. business partners, relatives, or friends residing in Kosovo), or<\/li>\n<li>Established jointly with a foreign (non-Kosovo resident) co-investor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In all cases, the diaspora investor must own at least 30% of the business. A business plan must accompany the investment initiative.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must comply with all laws, regulations, and relevant guidelines governing investment and business activities in Kosovo. Additionally, applicants will be subject to AML\/CFT due diligence by the financial institution and must not be under legal proceedings or listed on any international sanctions lists.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHICH BUSINESSES QUALIFY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Privately owned MSMEs founded by diaspora investors.<\/li>\n<li>Registered with the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (KBRA). <a href=\"https:\/\/arbk.rks-gov.net\/\">Visit KBRA<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Established within the past 36 months.<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive of all sectors except those excluded under KCGF\u2019s environmental and social policy.<\/li>\n<li>Investor with a good credit history in the country of residence or Kosovo.<\/li>\n<li>Employs fewer than 250 employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Info on Kosovar Origin of Business Owner<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Persons born and originally residing in Kosovo who have lived abroad for more than 3 years.<\/li>\n<li>Second-generation descendants of Kosovar parents with roots in Kosovo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT LOANS ARE ELIGIBLE UNDER THE DIASPORA INVESTMENT WINDOW?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum loan amount: EUR 3,000<\/li>\n<li>Maximum loan amount: EUR 3,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Minimum guarantee amount: EUR 1,500<\/li>\n<li>Maximum guarantee amount: EUR 2,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Loan term: Minimum 3 months, Maximum 84 months<\/li>\n<li>Loan purpose: Business investments (fixed assets, equipment, working capital)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPES OF LOANS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Loan; Credit line; Overdraft<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GUARANTEE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Credit guarantee coverage of up to 80% of the loan principal, but no more than EUR 2,000,000.
